Description: The Emerald Necklace lays a string of parks from Back Bay through Jamaica Plain, its jewels a wide variety of recreational activities. It is a historic park system designed by landscape architect Frederick Law Olmstead, creating a welcoming green space in an urban setting. Its paths are mostly flat.
